Steve Lloyd
Biography
Steve is an artist and builder who lives and works燽etween燗delaide and Sydney. Working as a builder/carpenter has complimented his art practice, giving him a love for the process of 憈he making?of his artwork as much as the concept development.
As a member and past president of Studio Potters SA, the use of clay has become an important component of his art practice but his爏culptural work includes works in a range of materials including steel, bronze, clay, stone, and timber. Steve first exhibited in 1981 at Round Space, studied at North Adelaide School of Art and has undertaken master classes at Central School of Art. He has continued his art practice as well as running his building business.
Recent exhibitions include the 2012 and 2013 Brighton Jetty Classic Sculpture exhibition, Palmer Biennial 2012, inaugural Burnside燬culpture燾ompetition 2012.
Forthcoming exhibitions include a group exhibition in September 2013 at the Light Gallery, “ex Aqua”, Adelaide, Palmer Sculpture Biennial 2014 and the Heysen Sculpture Biennial 2014.
